- I am having trouble logging in. What should I do?

Several things:
1. Make sure you are on the WHOLESALE website (the banner at the top of the page should read MINERAL BASICS WHOLESALE). If it does not say that, you are on one of our retail websites, in such case your log in information will NOT work. You may, of course, set up an account on our retail sites if you wish (www.mineralbasics.com or www.yesterdaysbasics.com).
2. Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser.
3. Make sure you are typing in your email address and password EXACTLY, as both are case-sensitive.

- Do you give exclusive selling rights?
|
We do not. Due to various issues, we cannot give exclusive selling rights for any particular region. Many of our wholesale customers REsell our products, and we cannot control to whom or to where. Thus legally, it would become a messy ordeal and impossible to implement.

- What are mineral
cosmetics?

Mineral
cosmetics are the purest, most natural form of makeup
available. They are crushed minerals from the earth that
have been through a purification process to insure highest
quality and blended into various beautiful shades. Mineral
makeup has been around for thousands of years and was used
by ancient Egyptians for face and body shimmer. These
powders range from being matte to highly lustrous. They have
many uses and benefits, no other makeup can match.

- How is mineral
makeup different from "traditional" liquid and stick
makeup?

Large
companies create liquid, pressed, stick, sponge, and other
such makeup by adding fillers, preservatives, waxes, oils,
etc. that allow them to make greater profits. They are
obviously not concerned about your skin or what ingredients
are absorbed into your body. We do care. We provide healthy
mineral foundations and powders that contain no dyes,
irritants, preservatives, waxes, mineral oil, fillers, etc.
Our powders are loose and buff easily into the skin.

- Do you offer refunds on your products?
|
We are a small, family-owned and operated company. By keeping our prices low, we cannot afford to offer refunds or exchanges. This is due to sanitary purposes and protects you, the consumer. We do offer samples of all our mineral makeup, so that you may try the products before purchasing full size. Samples are also non-returnable. If you receive a defective item, please e-mail us at info@mineralbasics.com and we will resolve the issue. Thank you for your understanding.

- Do you sell your powders in bulk or by the jar?
|
BOTH! You can get our products with our label already packaged in jars, or you may purchase our powders in bulk (bags) and package into jars yourself.
We ask that you purchase three per shade ( when purchasing products already in jars) and at least $100 worth each time you place an order. The jars will come with our Mineral Basics label on top and ingredients on the bottom. If you purchase powders in bulk, the smallest amount you may order is 1 oz per shade. We do not sell by the ½ ounce. If you want to sell the minerals under your own brand name, you will need to purchase via the bulk method and package into jars and label yourself.
The more you buy per shade, the better deal you get. The pound prices are by far the most economical.
(Just as a note: You can fill APPROXIMATELY 48 30-gram sifter jars with one pound of product, or 96 20-gram sifter jars)

- Do you sell samples?

How Long Do These Sizes Last?
|
|
30-gram sifter jars will hold 10 grams of powder net weight. (30-gram means volume). For foundations, these will last about 5 months on average. For other colors, they will last much longer.
20-gram sifter jars will hold 5 grams of powder net weight. (again…20-gram means volume). This size will last several months.
10-gram sifter jars will hold approx. 2.5 grams of powder net weight. (again…10-gram means volume). This size will last quite a while (several months to years) since this is the eye shadow size and people will only use small amounts of these shades.

- Where and How do I sell these Powders?
|
There are many avenues for selling mineral makeup.
Internet:
First, obviously, is Ebay. There are many mineral makeup sellers on Ebay and they all seem to be doing quite well. We continue to sell on Ebay since it is good advertisement. You will have to sell your products a little cheaper on average, however, since most buyers are browsing around Ebay for a good deal.
Having your own website is another option. This will require some knowledge on your part of html, shopping carts, merchant accounts, etc, but you can figure it out if you’re determined enough. You will also need a digital camera.
Other auctions- there are some other auctions or places on the web where you can sell your items. Browse around and see what you can find.
Local Area:
You can also sell your products where you live. Start with friends and family and then branch out.
Try having makeup parties where everyone finds their perfect colors!You can then place their orders with us and distribute their colors at the next party or at another time. This is such a fun idea!!
You can go around to salons and spas and offer your products to them. They might even turn around and RESELL those products to their clients! So you've become the wholesaler! Run an ad in the newspaper describing what you have to sell...set up a booth at your local mall on Fair day...go anywhere where there will be a bunch of beauty-minded women. Ask local business owners if they would like to set up a display for you and purchase your products to resell. If you want to, you could even open up your own store!

- How much Money Can I Make?
|
That depends on how much you mark up the prices.
We are very cheap on our products.
We RETAIL the 30-gram sifter jars for 14.99 each and the 20-gram sifter jars for 7.99 each.
If you want to resell them much higher than that, you might consider the bulk option described at the beginning.
You should be able to double or triple your money, at least…as a part-time job, you can begin making several hundred dollars a week and increase each week, depending on how much time you put into this.
Do not get discouraged if sales fall one week…they will come right back up. One thing we have learned is that sales tend to decline around (usually for a week after) holidays...including Fourth of July, Labor Day, etc.
Don't give up! That is all part of owning your own business and working for yourself!

- How can Mineral Basics wholesale their products so cheaply?
|
|
We are the manufacturer of our products. In other words, we purchase large quantities of raw ingredients and blend our own colors from scratch. There are many precise rules to follow and it can be very difficult.
We then choose to offer our products wholesale and retail.

- How Long Does it Take to Process an Order?
|
It generally takes us from one to three days to get your order ready; longer for orders over $1500.00.
Please give us a week or more for those larger orders. We try to keep stocked up on most items, but we do run out from time to time. Please keep all this in mind when ordering.

- What shipping method do you use? We ship all wholesale orders via USPS Priority Mail Or Express Mail and INSURANCE is included with the shipping cost.

- Can I use your pictures, wording, text, etc ?
|
|
We have had a lot of problems with people copying our website and pictures and ask that you please do not use any or any part of our: pictures, text, words, product names, company names ( unless purchasing products already in jars with our label), logos, slogans, etc. We thank you in advance for this.
